About me
Ideas are wonderful, but what I really love are tools.
The mission of the Empact Project is to offer tools that help people connect — with themselves, with each other, with what has been overlooked or unexplored — in order to create products that are loved, services that truly serve, and systems that support meaning, satisfaction, and deep health for humans and the world we’re a part of.
I’ve been listening, writing, designing, and presenting for more than 30 years. I look for clients who are curious and passionate, care about meaningful work, and are ready to take things to a new level of excellence and effectiveness. If you know exactly what you want to do and need someone to help make it real, I can do that. But even better is if you’re not exactly sure what’s next. Your solution isn’t working as well as expected. You’d like to transform but don’t know how. You’re not sure how to identify the needs involved in your project, much less meet them. That’s when you really need to give me a call. That’s when we’ll have some real fun.
I’m also an award-winning songwriter... you can stream on Spotify or at jennykatzmusic.com

“I love working with Jenny. She’s so good and so much fun. She loves listening and talking to people; she knows how to ask the right questions and she’s genuinely interested in the answers, so people feel heard and share their real stories. I’m always trying to think of new projects to bring her in on.”
Matthew Saunders“I’ve been at this for over twenty years and have worked with a lot of really creative and smart people on the design side, and I’d have to say that you are the high-water mark among them.”
Mark Bistline“Jenny is, quite simply, the most extraordinary colleague I have ever had. Resourceful, positive, willing, thorough, creative, strategic, pleasant, and so so smart. Truly, she is freakishly talented. She is hands down the best writer I have ever worked with and I have done nonprofit communications work for more than 30 years with scores of clients.”
